Autodefensa feminista
más allá de aprender a decir no
Monroy, Maitena
Feminist self-defense is a strategy of individual and collective empowerment, emerged from feminist organizations to help women identify sexist violence and defend themselves against it, in the three spheres: cognitive, physical and emotional. It is a tool of theoretical-practical resources for prevention and legitimate defense actions. It is not about knowing how to act only in the levels of violence, but in all facets of our daily lives, to be able to depatriarchy ourselves as a first exercise in self-defense. This text makes it easier for us to understand the world we inhabit and inhabits us, and how it is based on the pillars of gender normativity. That is, what it means to be a woman in a patriarchal system that not only has a bodily expression, but also supposes a social position of subordination, investigating the pillars of gender normativity. Being a woman in a patriarchal system not only has a bodily expression, but also implies a social position of subordination. A unique book that will help women identify sexist behaviors and react to any situation in which women's rights are violated or discriminated against.
