Chronicle of the Spanish language is a book inclined, above all, to transparency and information, which the Royal Spanish Academy publishes at the end of each year. Its main objective is to publicize the work carried out by the Language Academies, as well as to describe or explain the most relevant problems that affect the unity of Spanish in the Spanish-speaking universe, present its criteria on how to approach them and face the changes it is experiencing. our language.The 2022 Chronicle will continue the analysis of the state of the Spanish language, now focused on the networks, and will dedicate a large section to reflecting on linguistic miscegenation in the space of the Association of Spanish Language Academies, as an accompaniment of the IX International Congress of the Spanish Language. In addition, it will inaugurate two new lines of analysis on current issues around plain language and the Spanish edition.
