El caso Moro

El caso Moro

Sciascia, Leonardo

In March 1978, the Red Brigades kidnapped the Christian Democrat politician Aldo Moro and, in May of that same year, assassinated him, something that shocked the whole of Italy. Leonardo Sciascia, then a representative of the Radical Party, participated in the parliamentary commission that investigated the events and, in August 1978, wrote El caso Moro. Based on the letters written by Moro since his captivity, Scascia interprets it with rigor and insight and reconstructs a web of thoughts and facts that is, up to now, what best allows us to understand this terrible episode in Italian history.
