The brain is a fascinating organ, capable of incredible feats and a myriad of complex tasks, but it is not designed for happiness. Evolution cares very little that we are happy, as long as it manages to keep us alive. Fortunately for us, one of the main characteristics of the human brain is its plasticity. Today we have the necessary knowledge to adapt the wonderful brain structures, the result of millions of years of biological evolution, to a new reality, and use neurological mechanisms to build our own version of happiness.
