El contador mayor de la catedral
Hernández Borreguero, José Julián
In the 17th century, the sacred walls of the Seville Cathedral contain unimaginable secrets. In the midst of this scenario, Juan Bautista Herrera, a humble priest and expert accountant, obtains a position in the Cathedral Chapter thanks to his skill and knowledge, which will lead him to manage an important hospital aimed at feeding the most needy. However, as he delves into his new task, he discovers the hidden rivalries between the canons and the factions that divide the ecclesiastical hierarchy: those loyal to the dean and the supporters of the bishop. As he plunges deeper into the darkness of jealously guarded secrets, the protagonist will find himself at a moral crossroads that threatens to destabilize his life and his faith.
