He traded in his beloved Land Camera 250 for his phone and transferred part of his diary to the social network, where he began to share his daily life with brief reflections, from his morning coffee, his readings or his Abyssinian cat, Cairo, to his travels or his visits to the graves of the writers he adores the most. Shortly after, more than a million people followed her account. Inspired by this format, Patti Smith now collects in The Book of Days three hundred and sixty-six snapshots, most of them unpublished, accompanied by texts that constitute "oracle sketches": three hundred and sixty-six arrows directed at the daily heart of things , three hundred and sixty-six ways to say "hello".
