The corner of the board is not a textbook. It is supplementary material that can be usefully integrated into an introductory course in mathematical analysis at the university level and, in many of its chapters, at the secondary level. The purpose of the work is to stimulate visualization around mathematical analysis, something extremely important and traditional in the work of classical mathematicians, but which in recent decades suffered a strong deterioration due to the influence of the formalist currents in vogue. Most of the essays in this volume, dealing with the basic elements of analysis, can be done without more than having a pencil and paper, chalk and a blackboard. The computer today makes it possible to widely extend the possibilities of representation and calculation. For some interesting tasks the symbolic program DERIVE has been used, very accessible, powerful and easy to use. The screen outputs contain the programs made for this purpose by the author, together with the display examples they provide. These programs have all been put together on the CD that accompanies the book in order to save DERIVE users the trouble of typing.
