El vel de la deessa

Premi Nèstor Luján de Novel·la Històrica 2020

Sabaté, Glòria

A few months after the outbreak of Tragic Week, Barcelona, stunned, clings to life. A group of Freemasons led by Ángeles López de Ayala, under the auspices of the Progressive Women's Society, cling to education as a way to fight the social role imposed on them by the fact that they were born women. The discovery of a peculiar library will put them on the trail of a hidden relic capable of giving them the strength they need to be able to achieve the coveted freedom. They will be accompanied by the bibliophile Gaspar Homar and a student from the University of Barcelona, an avid reader and in love with ancient and medieval myths. Only one person knew the whereabouts of the relic... and he just died. That is why they will have to delve into spiritualism, a world especially in vogue. Mavericks and fighters, all together they will do whatever it takes to achieve their goal.
