Els tres cognoms de Lucía van Haart
una història de Barcelona
Aranda, Quim
There are ghosts that never leave you. This is confirmed by the journalist Martín Genovés when Lucía, an old love, reappears fourteen years after she has disappeared overnight. The woman wants Martín to clarify what happened between Eva Marie Saint and her uncle, Zacarías Gil, an aspiring actor in Barcelona in the 1930s and an exile from the Civil War, who ends up as the usher of a cinema in repertoire of the upper part of the city. Saint and Zacarías could have had a brief affair after the premiere of "Con la muerte en los talones" at the San Sebastian Festival in 1959. It all starts with a blurry photo of the Paris Match made in Biarritz days after the pageant. It is an impossible story and Genovés knows it. But he gets into it because maybe he's still in love with Lucia. The journalist's investigation will unearth truths, secrets and betrayals in a hectic and absorbing narrative.
