In the legendary kingdom of Alagaësia, war is brewing. The Horsemen, protectors of the peace of the Empire and the only ones capable of controlling the intelligent dragons, have become extinct or have become part of the troops of the evil King Galbatorix. The elves have long since gone into hiding, and the Varden, a splinter group, are hiding in protected cities. When Eragon, a 15-year-old boy who lives in a small village, finds a precious stone in the middle of the forest where he has gone hunting, little does he expect that this event will change his life and the destiny of Alagaësia. The only thing he wants is to sell it to ensure the subsistence of his family during the harsh winter. However, one night the gem breaks and what comes out of it will take him on a journey that will make him a hero. Can Eragon take responsibility for the legendary dragon riders?
