Extremoduro: De Profundis

There have been very few Spanish rock bands as personal and exciting as Extremoduro. Roberto Iniesta, its founder and emblem, coined the expression "transgressive rock" to define the type of music they made, characterized by the union of fiercely visceral poetry, unparalleled in the field of popular song, and musical structures who rebelled against the formulas in use. Despite being ignored for years by the big media, his speech seduced thousands of people from different generations and social strata, and they became a cultural phenomenon worthy of study. In this book, in addition to an exhaustive journey through their career, from their very hard beginnings until their dissolution in 2019, the author carries out a deep analysis of the imaginary of this band through the dissection of their lyrics, equally loaded with "poetry and nitroglycerin". Considered by many critics and colleagues the best Spanish rock group of all time, their name continues to have overtones of legend. Something to which the professional honesty of the tandem formed by Robe and Iñaki "Uoho" Antón greatly contributed. Since Extremoduro belonged to that reduced lineage of artists that resists making concessions of any kind to the industry and the market.
