Física cuántica y relativista
más allá de nuestros sentidos
Sabín, Carlos
Quantum physics and relativity are the two pillars of modern physics and, therefore, of human thought. They extend our knowledge of nature, our ability to predict and explain it, and to produce new technologies, to realms beyond what we can perceive and experience with our senses, including "common sense". On many occasions they are presented as two separate and incommunicado theoretical buildings; often, even, they are shown as opposed, incompatible. However, the combination of both gives rise to the quantum field theory, with which the standard model of elementary particles is built, that is, the theory that explains the behavior of nature at the most fundamental level that is accessible to us.
