La patria en la cartera
pasado y presente de la corrupción en España
Bosch, Joaquim
The homeland in the portfolio is an argued reflection that delves into the singularities of the phenomenon of corruption in our country. To this end, Joaquim Bosch addresses these problems from a novel perspective, through a transversal vision that encompasses disciplines such as history, law, criminal policy, ethics or sociology. A dynamic study of the most lacerating problem in Spanish politics. The main thesis is that, although corruption in Spain goes back a long way, it was during Franco's dictatorship that it acquired institutional dimensions that continue to this day. The new democracy incurred in continuities, but also necessarily in discontinuities derived from the new party system. The lack of institutional development prevented a complete break with some practices of the previous regime and made possible new forms of corruption typical of the economic circumstances of recent decades. This work, the result of an immense and exhaustive bibliographic documentation, is also nourished by the examination of hundreds of sentences from a long period, from before the Franco regime to the present day, to analyze the most common dynamics of corruption.
