Los Medinaceli
nobleza y escándalos
Yagüe Díez de Tejada, María Eugenia
The duchy of Medinaceli is one of the oldest in Spain. It was created in 1479 by the Catholic Monarchs and their descendants, for more than five hundred years, have maintained and enlarged it with such emblematic palaces as the Tavera Hospital in Toledo or the Casa de Pilatos in Seville. However, the 20th century was full of vicissitudes for this lineage. The 17th Duke, Luis Jesús Fernández de Córdoba, married twice and upon his death divided the family assets forever. Her daughter, Victoria Eugenia (1917-2013), Mimi, the 18th Duchess, contemporary of Cayetana de Alba, lived with great discretion, but had to face the scandals of her son the Duke of Feria, married to the model Naty Abascal. and father of Rafael and Luis Medina. And today, the ducal inheritance is in court between the Duke of Segorbe, Mimi's son, and Victoria de Hohenlohe, his great-granddaughter and her current duchess. The journalist María Eugenia Yagüe, a great expert on this aristocratic family, reveals in these entertaining pages all the ins and outs of one of the most aristocratic sagas.
