Madridismo y sintaxis
Bengoechea, Jesús
Since its creation eight years ago, Madridismo y syntax has been the motto of the cult Madrid portal La Galerna (lagalerna.com) that Jesús Bengoechea founded and still edits. Along with the work of director, Bengoechea writes in La Galerna. This book is a compilation of his best texts in said medium, or at least of the best that the author signed with his name and surname. There is space in the book for many different registers, from the epic of the gesture song of Madrid's European victories to the satire to address Barça Gate, going through the melancholic tone of more reflective and personal contents that do not usually lose a humorous touch, very present in the "Geographic Madridismo" section, which in turn includes the "Road to Cardiff" saga. Gento and Bale, Raúl and Modric, Stoichkov and Negreira will parade before the reader's eyes. It is an exercise in singing the hero and scrutiny of the villain. In the end, as Bengoechea himself acknowledges somewhere in the book, "the basic principles of every good man are two: that you do not do to anyone what you do not want them to do to you, and that Juanito prepare it and Santillana scores a goal".
