It is clearer than water that there is a female musical tradition that stretches back millennia and around the world, although it is not always easy to outline all the details. That is why in this particular journey through music we will take into account only what is useful to understand the life, connections and creative tradition of female musicians, and therefore we will try to avoid the boring dates, the battles tasteless and antiquated nomenclature. This book aims to counteract the exaggerated weight of the hegemonic narrative, a discourse that colors the spaces of knowledge and leaves aside the journey of female musicians who, in our opinion, make history more interesting and even relatable. We warn the crew that here you will not find a very ordinary story, but you will come into contact with the creators who have made music over the centuries in a cunning and mischievous way, and who have inhabited the various spaces that weave their history and that of so many others.
