Querido alumno, te estamos engañando
un sincero y necesario análisis del sistema educativo y de la universidad
Arias Aranda, Daniel
"Today I dedicate myself to deceiving more than teaching." This is how the letter with which Daniel Arias ignited a great debate on the networks about our young people and our educational system read. This book, however, does not fool anyone. After twenty years of teaching experience, the Madrid professor is clear, although disturbing: the anti-university attitude of many students, captured by social networks, smartphones and other digital tools, means that it is "the cyber" that governs their lives and not the other way around. The problem is serious because these students not only end up not possessing knowledge worthy of their quality as university students, but they have lost interest in achieving it; This has shifted towards chronic entertainment and evasion. And meanwhile, "society dissimulates and looks the other way." With a simple, direct and practical message, capable of connecting the entire educational community - students included -, the author gives us the keys that have brought us to this point and brings us closer to the reality in classrooms today. Furthermore, he proposes "uncomfortable" actions to solve it and break the current paradigm. Will we be brave enough to carry them out?
