Music displays its enormous transformative power, gently penetrating the most intimate sphere of the human being and summoning us to an encounter that, if we feel challenged, has the capacity to change us and become better people. With a close and deep register, this essay places music -great music- in dialogue with a broader cultural reality, and shows us how contact with beauty can be a true solution to many of the problems that afflict the world, making us aware of the importance it really has in our lives.
